We are especially pleased to rescue and present “Los Iracundos” from Uruguay. They began their musical adventures in 1958 as The Blue Kings, influenced by the rock and roll that came from US. In 1963 they performed at Parque del Plata Song Festival in Argentina where they were discovered by representatives of RCA Víctor, which promoted the beat groups of “la nueva ola”, at that time they changed their name to Los Iracundos, establishing themselves internationally. They participated in numerous films, song festivals, international tours in Europe and the US and television appearances, gaining tremendous popularity internationally, eventually winning a gold record in 1968. We hope you enjoy these two songs created by this great band and especially by Eduardo Franco, author of almost the entire band’s repertoire.
