Todos Tenemos Hogar / Lambada De Oceanía, África Y América

This special reissue brings together two essential pieces from the Los Pirañas universe — a Project where tropical tradition collides with sonic experimentation, psychedelic textures and the freespirited energy often described as tropicanibalismo de alta montaña. A small record in format, but one carrying a deep sense of history, humor and musical exploration.

For almost 30 years, Eblis Álvarez (Meridian Brothers), Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero, Ondatrópica) and Pedro Ojeda (Romperayo) have been leaving their eccentric mark on Latin American musical traditions such as vallenato, Peruvian chicha and Colombian champeta, constantly reshaping them through improvisation, distortion and an unmistakably irreverent approach.

Widely regarded as one of the key groups behind the revival of Colombia’s contemporary tropical underground, Los Pirañas have become known for pushing the boundaries of Latin tropical music far beyond convention. Their sound combines hypnotic grooves with noisy experimentation, absurd musical humor and the raw attitude of a rock band — completely unpredictable, yet deeply rhythmic, danceable and alive.
