More than thirty years after his untimely death, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and composer Robson Jorge has the final phase of his work rescued, studied, compiled, and made available in this first release from the Raridades label.

Robson Jorge and Mauro Motta were schoolmates and later reconnected during the booming Rio de Janeiro youth music scene, culminating in both being hired by CBS after the Jovem Guarda era in the early 1970s—Mauro as producer, Robson as musician.

In 1976, the Robson Jorge & Mauro Motta partnership conceived their first masterpiece, “Fim de Tarde,” a multimillion-selling debut single by Claudia Telles, which was followed by another hit by the duo, sung by their friend, “Eu Preciso Te Esquecer.”

Both compacts, it should be noted, already featured arrangements by fellow ace Lincoln Olivetti, with whom Robson forged a strong partnership to create robust arrangements and productions in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They were then signed to Som Livre, where they recorded an acclaimed LP in 1982 and even had a special on TV Globo.
