Kaleidoscope from Los Angeles was one of the most amazing folk-rock/psychedelia bands of the 60’s – and their pioneering mixture of Middle-Eastern-folk and US-West-Coast-rock is the stuff of legends… Many people who have witnessed the band on stage agreed that Kaleidoscope’s live performances were outstanding as all members of the band were virtuosi (and most of them still are, by the way)…
Now you can hear that all those witnesses (Jimmy Page among them) were absolutely right!
This deluxe double-LP includes songs from four different live-tapes recorded between 1967 and 1969, representing the first and second line-ups of the Kaleidoscope.
Additionally this set includes a 7″-EP with four out-takes and work-in-progress-versions from the time of their first album.
2xLP with selections from the following sources:

tracks 06-07: July 1968, Newport Folk Festival, Newport, RI. (excellent sound quality)
tracks 08-09: June 1969, The Ash Grove, Los Angeles, CA. (close to excellent sound quality)
