Formed at Keele University in 1974, Omson Greme played wilful, experimental, yearning, whimsical, literate, wry, humorous and sad Progressive Rock, a strange mash-up of Canterbury, Folk, and Krautrock. Our nearest reference point is Friends, Friends, Friend era Audience, but their powerful melodic sound is all their own.

They recorded a 25 copy only Private Press Live LP in 1975 that we are still trying to restore for release as the sound quality is truly, deeply terrible. Here though, we have a crisp Radio Broadcast and excellent Studio Sessions that showcase them at their very best.

The world, sadly, did not sit up and take notice, so a couple of years later they gave up on Progressive Music and transmuted into a Punk Band, The Exits, whose only EP now fetches £750 or more.
