The magic of Bossa Nova! Introduced in 1958 by João Gilberto with his historic recording of Antônio Carlos Jobim’s “Chega de Saudade,” this innovative style blends samba with rich harmonies and rhythms characterized by a smooth, light flow. Born in Brazil, Bossa Nova was quickly embraced by jazz musicians—most notably tenor saxophonist Stan Getz, who helped bring its sound to a global audience. Featuring Stan Getz, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Jorge Ben, Luiz Bonfá, Baden Powell, Vinícius de Moraes, João Gilberto.
