Intimate

Intimate is exactly what its title suggests: a quiet, close-up musical conversation shaped by subtlety, warmth, and emotional honesty. On this album, Andrea Motis reveals her most delicate and refined side, placing her voice at the center while weaving in understated trumpet lines within an intimate acoustic setting.

Recorded between Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, and Montoliu de Segarra, and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios in London, the album unfolds through elegant dialogues between voice and guitar, with the lyrical cello of Jaques Morelenbaum appearing on selected pieces. The repertoire moves effortlessly across languages and traditions, embracing jazz standards, folk songs, bossa nova, and French chanson.

Motis offers deeply personal reinterpretations of works by Amy Winehouse, Chico Buarque, Bill Withers, Georges Brassens, and Djavan, alongside original compositions co-written with Jurandir Da Silva. The result is a timeless, intimate listening experience that highlights nuance, restraint, and emotional depth.

This LP edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve, carefully crafted to reflect the album’s warm and understated character.
