The second album by American psychedelic rock group The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Part One follows their debut LP Volume One and was released in February 1967 on Reprise Records. It features compositions by Frank Zappa, Baker Knight, P.F. Sloan and Van Dyke Parks. According to AllMusic reviewer Richie Unterberger, Part One was “the best album of the group’s career, in large part because it was the most songoriented. It was still plenty weird, almost to the point of stylistic schizophrenia, but when you got down to it, much of the record was comprised of fairly catchy songs in the neighborhood of two and three minutes.” Also included is the song “Will You Walk with Me,” best known as “Morning Dew,” which was composed by Bonnie Dobson and arranged by Danny Harris.
