Manlac Blues 9. Demos 1965-66, vol. 1

From early 1965 until 1966 Baris Manço recorded many demo songs that would lay the foundation for his future songwriting. Using an amateur Telefunken Magnetophon 96 R Tape recorder, André Soulac recorded all the songs on which Baris would play all the instruments himself laying down a track at a time. André Soulacs contribution cannot be understated, he not only wrote all the words but also had a hand in arrangements and music writing.

Manço would come back to a lot of these songs later in his career and write new Turkish lyrics. We have tried to find as many of these songs and are proud to share them with you.

The master tapes were over 50 years old and we have tried to clean up the sound as much as possible. We hope you enjoy these recordings.
