Dexter Gordon, one of the true sax giants in the history of Jazz. Recorded in 1961 and released the following year, “Dexter calling” is his second recording for Blue Note.A solid swinging session with Gordon at the head of a great quartet featuring pianist Kenny Drew and the great bass and drums team of Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones.
