In the early 1980s, the members of the band Opa—the Fattoruso brothers, Ringo Thielman, and Rubén Rada—reunited with some guests to pay homage to their past as Los Shakers, while also paying tribute to The Beatles. They recorded this excellent album titled “A los Shakers” (To the Shakers). Beyond simply reminiscing about the old days, these “Otroshakers” playfully present an alternate reality in which the beat band ventures into the realm of fusion. It is, in essence, a new chapter in Opa’s history.
