William Penn Fyve aka William Penn & His Pals fueron un pionero grupo de San Francisco que comparti\u00f3 escenario con grandes nombres como Jefferson Airplane, Paul Revere & the Raiders o Them. Contaba en sus filas con el cantante \/ organista Greg Rolie, luego en Santana y Journey. A principios de 1967 publicaron su \u00fanico single, \u00abSwami\u00bb \/ \u201cBlow My Mind\u201d, para el sello Thunderbird. La cara A (escrita por el guitarrista Mike Shapiro y famosa por su inclusi\u00f3n en \u201cPebbles-The Acid Gallery\u201d) es primigenio acid-punk con guitarras raga saturadas de fuzz y una sat\u00edrica letra sobre un gur\u00fa.
