Across The Water
An unknown and precious album recorded in 1975 by two friends who recorded one side each, they made just two acetates and then handmade beautiful covers from two enlargements of a photograph of the Isles of St Kilda. Side one is a neo classical prog rock epic in the style of Renaissance and Continuum, inspired by the wild and pagan isles of St Kilda where, as a 16 yr old, the composer Peter Mc Kerrow was taken by military launch ...
Across The Water (CD)

The original LP was made in an edition of just 2 copies with hand made sleeves, and is valued at £7000+.
The Beck Studio Acetate
Cut in northampton’s Beck studios circa 1969 and thought to be connected to Axe’s lead guitarist, this band remain completely unknown – only one battered acetate exists which has been held in a private collection for decades, it has track titles but no band name, with all research drawing blanks. regardless, this is arguably the finest example of blistering undergound heavy prog jamming ever graven in acetate ...
Super rare psychedelic folk lp from 1969, which with Shide & Acorn and Parameter is one of only three genuine Psychedelic Folk lp privately issued in england in that authentic era. only 70 copies were made by Hollick and Taylors custom pressing plant. very little was known about this lp and until this edition and it had been thought of as a solo folk lp, very very WRONG, its a band, and completely in the hallucinogenic and ...
Algy Lord Gray
The greatest lp ever made, a gloriously mad Kinks–influenced underground edwardian progressive masterpiece, bertie is a deranged subversive and witty concept album about a man’s descent into ruin, ’Dragonfly Wings’ combines proto Motorik drumming predating Neu with Hawkwind and Incredible String Band influences, finished off with Noel Coward–y nuances. The surefire future hit ’Would You Like a ...
Algy Lord Gray (CD)
like a once in an Epoch convergence of characters from Buckeridge, Crompton and Wodehouse all fresh from a 1969 Hawkwind gig whilst channeling the very Muse who normally visits Ray Davies of the Kinks. Berties godlike majesty is unparalleled in pop. Trouncing other concept lp like Arthur, Tommy and SF Sorrow, Bertie can only make sense to the Elite Prog Collectors of Sainted Albion, and requires the listener to have cultural ...
A super rare, killer 1972 Scottish hard psych/prog LP, full of solid organ work and heavy guitar riffing, sees a CD–reissue, with sound taken from the original tapes!
From Little Acorns Grow
Quite traditional folk, but magically so. Crooked Oak is one of the very few folk bands who imbued their songs with mystery, power and grandeur. The combination of Steve Evans’ sonorous voice and haunting irish pipes convert the songs into a beautiful mystical experience. It might compare to the stunning ’Wild and Beautiful’ by Silly Wizard, with that same captivating majesty of form. Very rare, the late great ...
From Little Acorns Grow (CD)
magical english folk rock thats a little traditional like Spriguns Of Tolgus and has a quality of melancholic mystery, comparable in some ways to Silly Wizards masterpiece ’Wild and Beautiful’ . Privately issued in 1976, Crooked Oak was a favourite of the late legendary Record Dealer and Collector Walter Geertsen who listed COB and John St Field amongst his other favourites.
The favourite band of Walter the Softy from the British Beano, Flux rip open the listeners mind with confrontational headache inducing Prog Insanity, killer guitar from John Grimaldi of Argent who cares not a whit for the listener and shreds his King Crimson esque guitaring into Glittering fragments of Sonic Anti Matter. 1973, recorded in a church, the tape ends suddenly with an announced IRA Bomb Scare. Exactly as one would ...
Thought to be lost forever, hellmets legendary 1970 lp is the proto metal find of the century. long rumoured to exist amongst hardcore prog collectors, it used to be considered as the missing VO5 Vertigo catalogue number. in 1970 two acetates were cut at Oak studios (a 12" and a 7") and then promptly lost, and those who knew of its rumoured existence decided it was mere myth or permanently lost or destroyed. but in 2021 ...
Isolation (Special ltd. 100 copies version)
One of England’s rarest privately pressed progressive LPs, Isolation is barely known and generally misunderstood. It’s a concept LP tackling the sense of loneliness and loss after the breakup of a relationship, and was performed with an accompanying experimental film. The LP has fantastic compositions of melodic progressive rock. Variant facsimile cover, this version DOES NOT INCLUDE THE DVD. 100 copies only!
Legendary 100 copy 1973 Prog Melancholia, a Concept Lp of deeply darksome musical meditations on a bleak break up, many consider Isolation an overlooked masterpiece. The repeated line "And now theres nothing" is a theme throughout the LP, connecting with 21st Century outsider vibes and alienated prog masses.
Be Thou My Very Amour (CD)
Masterful studio recordings by this accomplished Prog Folk band purveying Poetismic Underground Sounds, these are their best ever recordings, and include the only surviving track from their Heavy Guitar Folk Phase "Man Of War" which is awash with Fuzzed out Folk Fabulousness. Highly Recommended by the Court of The Dark Elven. The divinely lovely title is a line from their prayer to the Moon. Lifebluds Finest Moment.
